The Advocacy Committee of the Federal Probation and Pretrial Officers Association (FPPOA) is dedicated to promoting the interests and well-being of federal probation and pretrial services officers through strategic legislative engagement, policy development, and strong partnerships. We are committed to advocating for policies that support the mission of community supervision while maintaining public safety.
Communications
The Communications Committee is responsible for ensuring clear, consistent, and effective communication within our organization and with external stakeholders. The Committee’s primary role is to oversee and manage all internal and external communications, fostering transparency, engagement, and a positive organizational image. This committee contributes ideas and content for social media, the website, newsletter and emails.
FPPOA’s Education Committee is committed to the professional and educational development of federal probation and pretrial staff. The Committee’s primary responsibility is to oversee FPPOA’s role in providing education to officers through our National Training Institutes, scholarship programs, online trainings opportunities, and newsletter and website material.
The Safety Committee is established to foster a safe, secure, and healthy work environment. This committee is committed to identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks associated with probation and pretrial officers’ duties, both in the office and in the field, and promoting policies and procedures that enhance overall safety.
