Biography
I was appointed as a United States Probation Officer in the District of South Carolina, Charleston Division, in February 2001. I’ve had the opportunity to spend time in each of the three primary areas of our agency: Pretrial Services (both Court and Supervision), Post-Conviction Supervision, and Presentence (since 2005/Guidelines Specialist/Court Services Supervisor). I currently serve as Asst. Deputy Chief U.S. Probation Officer. I have been active with the FPPOA Board since 2015, helping to coordinate four National Training Institutes, serving as Southeast Regional President (2016 - 2020), and serving as National Vice President (2020-2022).
My goals for FPPOA are to fully support our membership by bringing member concerns back to the forefront of our Association’s focus. We developed an Advisory Council made up of current staff, retirees, and members of the professional community to help us achieve our goals. With the guidance of the Advisory Council, we are embarking on a Strategic Plan and we look forward to engaging our membership in that process. I'm excited to work with our stakeholders and partner organizations to engage in legislation directly impacting our membership and U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services as a whole.
