Biography
Urshala Herald is a United States Probation Officer with the United States Probation Office for the Southern District of New York. She began her career with the Southern District of New York in January 2020. From May 2025 through September 2025, she served with the United States Probation Office for the Southern District of Florida before returning to the Southern District of New York.
In addition to her duties as a Probation Officer, Urshala serves as a Safety Instructor for the Office’s Officer Response Team (ORT) and is a certified Non-Lethal Training (NLTA) instructor. In these roles, she contributes to the training and professional development of fellow officers, with an emphasis on officer safety, preparedness, and effective practices in the field.
Urshala is committed to public service, professional development, and supporting her colleagues within the federal probation and pretrial services community. Her involvement with FPPOA reflects her interest in building connections among officers, promoting professional growth, and contributing to the continued advancement of the profession.
