Did You Know?
Changes in the law and in the supervision population led to the revamping of federal supervision in 1991. With the publication of a monograph, “Enhanced Supervision” was introduced to the system. This included a new processes for identifying high-risk offenders, enforcing special conditions of probation, controlling risk to the community, and providing correctional treatment.
