Welcome to the 5th National Training Institute (NTI), hosted by the Federal Probation and Pretrial Officers Association and the Western District of Washington, Probation & Pretrial Services Offices. This year’s theme is Reach New Heights in Community Corrections. The NTI will be held in downtown Seattle, at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, near the waterfront. Plan now to attend the NTI ‘09, and Reach New Heights with FPPOA through networking, professional growth, and much more.

NTI ‘09 will offer an abundance of classes/workshops that participants will be able to pick and choose from that will provide innovative training and new ideas from presenters from across the country. It’s an opportunity for all to meet with experts in the field and to learn about the latest trends facing community corrections. In addition to the full days of workshops, the NTI ‘09 will have an Exhibit Hall which will provide participants with an opportunity to meet with exhibitors to see and compare the latest technologies and products.

On Sunday morning, April 5, 2009, there will be a great opportunity to come out and support our chosen charity for the year, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children . On Sunday, at 9:00 AM, we will be having the “iCare for Kids 5K Run/Walk,” with all proceeds benefitting the NCMEC®.

Transportation to the hotel from SeaTac International Airport is available through Grayline Bus (it’s the big yellow bus located near gate 00) for $12.00.  Departs every 30 minutes to all downtown hotels.  Taxi service is also available.
